About the event

Ridge atrophy is a natural consequence of tooth loss.

Contemporary management of extraction sites should include

preventive procedures to minimize alveolar ridge atrophy post

extraction. This program will focus on contemporary treatment

options for the management of extraction sites aimed to minimize

or eliminate ridge atrophy post extraction, and also maximize

tissue quality for future implant placement. The importance of

implant design, graft material selection and application will be

reviewed and discussed.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to

understand:

• The importance of alveolar ridge preservation procedures

• The importance of graft material selection

• How graft material selection may affect tissue quality

• The advantages of anatomic dental implants
